I did 6 years at Formosa Plastics as a pipe fitter and welder. I was able to learn about how the production process worked, learning how to trace lines to make sure we are welding the correct piece of equipment. I then was promoted to maintenance supervisor where I was in charge of personnel and scheduling the job duties for 11 years.
I then accepted a job offer at Invista in 2007 where I am currently employed as a Process Operator and an Op.Tech, where I am required to perform operations duties along with maintenance task when full time mechanics aren't available.
On a yearly basis I have always gotten positive reviews when concerning my work ethics and people skills. I have been told several times that my positive attitude and willingness to always help others complete their task is my strongest asset. I come to work on time and very seldom call in sick, that makes me very dependable at all times. Overtime will not be an issue with me because over the past 10 years, I have worked no less than 600 hours overtime so I make myself available when the company needs me.
I have 14 years experience on the Fire Brigade and Rescue Team Leader. I have responded on several occasions where the team was summoned to extinguish chemical, grass, and vehicle fires while on duty at our facility.
