Ava Berberian

While I was volunteering at the Gathering for Women, it was during the end of the pandemic. The women weren't allowed to serve themselves food and drinks because of the Covid-19 restrictions, so i helped serve them. I also helped many of the women with the computers, as well as just sitting there and listening to them talk about how they got in their position.. This experience educated me on the hardships unhoused women deal with.

I've babysat my sister multiple times. While I'm watching her I make sure to keep an eye on her and to make sure she has food if she needs it, or an activity if she's bored. This taught me to be attentive, patient, responsible, and flexible with my schedule.

I've watched my neighbors cats numerous times while she's gone out of town. The job consisted of me going over daily to check on the cats, refill food and water, and change the litter. Doing this taught me to be consistent and responsible.
