Ava Livesey

• I have participated in volunteer work with school clubs throughout my high school years. I joined the Junior Ambassadors club for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital my freshman year and have been involved in raising money for this cause ever since. I am also a member of the Hope For Haiti Club at Tamalpais High School and have worked to raise money for people in need during the current crisis in Haiti. Lastly, I am in the process of getting involved with the Marine Mammal Foundation as well.

• I have been taking care of a three-year-old for the past year to help out her parents after they had a second baby, who I now also look after.
• I pick her up from her home, take her for a walk and play with her for up to 2 hours at a time
• I am responsible for snack time and bathroom breaks and making sure she is safe at all times.
• I now also act as a sitter for the one-year-old while she is sleeping and her Mom goes to run errands.

• During the startup of this new bakery, I helped out as a counter assistant, serving customers, keeping the behind-the-counter area clean, tidy and organized, and closing up the shop.

I am head coach for a team of first-grade boys, conducting practice and then coaching them in a game for two hours each Saturday morning. I collaborate with an assistant coach to teach the kids the basics of basketball, ensure they are following directions, are safe and having fun.
