Ava Schmied

This year, I joined the Teen Court club at Wiregrass Ranch High School. This club volunteers at the courthouse in Dade City and students act as a jury and hear minor offense or misdemeanor cases. After hearing the cases, we have to all collaborate and reach a verdict.

I have been a member of the club SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) since freshman year and it is my sophomore year. This school I got picked for a leadership position in the club. In this club there are many volunteer opportunities that help the community. Some of these opportunities include, road cleanups, working at sweetwater farms, speaking at other schools, science fairs, and more.
