Elected Class President at Cherokee High School, I spearheaded initiatives enhancing student engagement, leveraging my creative problem-solving and leadership skills. I also made impact in my community mentoring youth as a partner in the Cherokee Special Olympics and SALT programs.
I plan on continuing my education and community involvement when I attend college in fall of 2026.
- SALT (Student Athlete Leadership Team) is one of my favorite things to do at school
- The leaders of each school sports team are recommended by their coaches for this exclusive team
- We participate in many team bonding exercises and follow the Chick-fil-a Leadership Academy program.
- We do many outreach projects including going to elementary schools a few mornings a week.
- I serve as the student leader for our branch at Hasty Elementary School where I serve as a mentor to the students.
- Elected as class president as a Sophomore and Junior
- Consistently work with student government peers to facilitate student activities in our school
- One of twenty sophomores in the county chosen to be a part of this leadership program organized by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce
- This program taught leadership skills that I still refer to to this day and provided me with many connections to businesses and people in my community.
- I attended the ceremony where the last support beam was placed on the new campus of Cherokee High School
- My principal appointed me to speak on behalf of the student body at the ceremony
- My dad and I developed a youth tennis program for our community starting in 2020.
- I assist in weekly youth beginner tennis drills.
- For three summers, I have run week-long summer camps for 10 participants that includes daily tennis instruction.
- 4-year varsity tennis player
- Served as a leader on my team, facilitating practice times and leading pre-match warmups
- I work hard to encourage and help everyone on the team to play to the best of their ability
- Started golf my freshman year to learn a new challenging skill and enjoy the outdoors
- Earned a varsity letter my sophomore year
- Golf, with its slower-pace, has been a good outlet for me from all the fast-paced parts of life
- I also wanted some golf background for use in leadership and my future career
- I was honored to play as a partner playing with my brother in the state games; playing tennis in summer and playing basketball in the winter.
- We won gold medals in both events for two consecutive years
- Served as a positive and reliable mentor for the Special Olympics athletes in Cherokee county.
- I have been in a bible study group with my middle school small group since freshman year
- We meet once a month and discuss our personal lives as well as biblical curriculum and faith status
- Attended Clemson's tennis camp and was placed in the top tiger group which entails longer hours and more intense training
- At the end of the week during the awards ceremony, I was awarded the coach's award, called the top tiger award. This award goes to the camper with the most positive attitude and greatest work ethic
- Performed in school choir from 5th to 10th grade
- Selected for the county wide honors chorus
- Performed at the Reinhardt University Choral Festival
-Volunteered as a buddy and helped a participant enjoy one of the best nights of the year.
