I am a full-time student at Fordham University, majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Sociology while following the pre-health/medical track in preparation for medical school. My passion for environmental science began in adolescence, driven by a deep commitment to preserving the integrity and well-being of the natural world. This passion took shape through various forms of activism, including media advocacy on socio-political and environmental issues, giving presentations on sustainability at schools, fundraising, and exploring the intersection of human health and environmental factors. As I grew older and became more career-oriented, my interest in medicine deepened, particularly after learning about my uncle's work as a traveling physician assistant providing care in underserved communities abroad. His experiences inspired me to pursue a path that allows me to support those impacted by environmental crises and systemic issues such as war, poverty, and marginalization. This shift in focus has reinforced my desire to work in the healthcare field, where I can contribute to accessible, compassionate, and justice-driven medical care.
