Hello, I am fifteen years old and am looking for my first professional job. I have no experience professionally, but I have been working for others for a long time, house sitting for neighbors and friends, and taking dogs out for walks and feeding them. I have learned time management and communication skills that would be found useful in a work setting.
I have made honor role both semesters of freshmen year. I am activity involved with the organization BTC (Boys Team Charity), where I have helped loading trucks, building beds, delivering beds, working with kids and adults with special needs, and plan on continuing this work.
I love working with different mediums of art, pen, pencil, marker, paint, cardboard, chicken wire, and paper mache sculptures, and wood working.
Charity is something that I enjoy doing, because it is something that I can be a part of that's bigger than myself. Coming together with others to help people who need it is a joy very different than any other. Recently, I was a part of delivering beds with a organization affiliated with Boys Team Charity called Sleep In Heavenly Peace. I helped load and unload two trucks with parts of beds, we arrived at the house and set up three bunk beds and one regular sized bed. After we were done me and the people I worked with got to put sheets and blankets on the beds and show the kids. We took pictures and talked with the kids and left. The mother and kids were very happy with our work. I also worked with a man named Tim, he was older than me, around twenty, and he has autism. I spent a couple hours with him passing balls, coloring, and singing, he liked hanging out with me and I enjoyed being someone for him and play with.
