I spent my first three years as a lead one year old teacher in the early head start program that they provided. In working with the program I earned my CDA certification. I was very engaged with all the children’s needs as well as very communicative with parents. I preformed parent teacher conferences every six months to show how their children are improving in development based on my notes we took daily for cognitive development, social emotional development, physical development, mathematics skills and literature development. I’ve also worked with therapist and maintaining the goals the child was provided from the therapist along with all the paperwork to keep track of the child’s progress. The last year I worked at the facility they no longer partnered with early head start program due to COVID. I remained the one year old lead teacher until half way through my pregnancy then I worked as the prek assistant in the Georgia prek the facility provided.
