Assist with different activities in the animal shelter. Most recent activities include socializing rats and volunteering at the Howl-o-ween fundraiser by running an obstacle course for children.

Attend weekly dance classes focusing on Pacific Island dances, mainly Hula and Tahitian

Attend weekly private lessons to work on skills as well as choreograph a solo piece that is performed at the yearly Dancing for Humanity benefit

Created a team to participate in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Walk. Raised over $150 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Participated in a 21-day leadership and volunteer program in Bali, Indonesia. I was group leader several times and I also participated in leadership development trainings. Service projects included teaching English to Balinese school children, serving food to homeless individuals, learning about coral restoration and sea turtle hatchery projects, and cleaning up mangrove trees and sorting trash with an NGO project. I was awarded an alumni scholarship by the staff leading the trip as they felt I best encapsulated the values of a GLA student. I am presently being considered for a position as a GLA Ambassador. I am also enrolled to attend the program again in the summer of 2025.
