Volunteer Experience

Kristina Chesterman Memorial Ride, 08/01/15, 11/01/22, The KCMR is an event that takes place in the Northern California mountains. It is an endurance ride, which is a horseback riding event in which riders have to ride a series of trails in a certain amount of time. It is a fundraiser for the Kristina Chesterman Memorial Clinic in Nigeria, Africa. This clinic was founded in memory of a young Chico State Nursing student that was tragically killed by a drunk driver on her way home from the library. My role in this event was to act as the secretary, primarily getting entries and payments from participants, as well as handling other paperwork such as maps, vet cards, surveys, etc. I also assisted with trail maintenance and marking.
