• Supervises, coordinates, and participates in the preparation, labeling and dispensing of drugs and other pharmaceutical supplies.
• Provide MTM services
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations
  pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and narcotics and maintenance of all required records.
• Directs pharmacy and operations functions to ensure effective operations.
• Ensure staff provide high standards of customer service to customers
• Dispensed and verified patient prescription orders, conducting necessary utilization reviews.
• Advised patients on medication side effects and contraindications and explained proper administration.
• Monitored ordering of pharmacy medication stock to maintain streamlined inventory.
• Provide vaccination.

• Interpret, review and dispense medication orders
• Counsel patients and inform about adverse reactions and interactions with other medications, food, alcohol and other beverages
• Perform drug utilization review to ensure patient safety
• Manage supplies and drug inventories including C-II safe
• Demonstrate professionalism in supervising technicians work flow and contributing to the team effort by supporting all team members
• Vaccine administration

Duties and responsibilities:

Patient Care

• Assess the drug therapy needs of patients & monitor progress of therapy through consultations and patient education
• Assess patients for medication adherence barriers and develop a plan to maximize patient's medication success through improving or maintaining adherence to medications
• Perform drug utilization review to promotes patient safety by ongoing review of dispensing and use of medication

Provider support

• Provide drug information to physicians, nurses and other health team members upon request
• Consult with providers to promote patient safety by ongoing checking of drug-drug interaction, over-dosages and contraindications

Core responsibilities:

• Interpret, review and process medication orders and resolve medication errors
• Manage supplies and drug inventories including C-II safe
• Provide long term care service by filling and checking unit dose blister pack and multi-dose pack

• Shadow and help clinical pharmacists during their clinical tasks and projects
• Discuss patient medication history and participate in counseling and reconciliation
• Prepare non sterile medication
• Fill automated drugs dispensing machines and ensure par level of medications for nursing staff

• • Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations
• Data Entry of patient/facility information & prescription orders
• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment
• Customer service (i.e, receiving and processing order requests)
• Daily fill including controlled substance
• Applies labels to blister cards or multi dose packages then scans product for accuracy check

• Fill and prepared an average of 700 prescriptions a day
• Receive verbal prescriptions from physicians
• Enter prescriptions and effectively resolved insurance rejections
• Administer vaccines to patients
• Counsel patients when they pick up their prescriptions
• Manage drugs inventory
