• Working in the Underwriting Department of Financial Institutions as a Specialty Underwriting Associate. I am currently handling Professional Lines in coordination with the Professional Lines Underwriters, processing underwriting documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. I handle various requests from agents for loss runs, and billing questions. I also assist new employees with guidance and mentoring.

Sr. Claim Assistant

• Provide administrative support to Specialty Examiners, by issuing coverage letters, and acknowledgement letters. Handle the Litigation Management Process from initiating the request, to ordering the MMSEA Queries, and entering the incident only files when there is a hit on the query. Track the expenses for the Fluor accounts. MSO reporting. Handle the division of work among the Specialty claim assistants and assist in training new Specialty claim assistants.

Customer Service Representative II

• Rate and process new business, renewals and endorsement transactions for Workers Compensation policies in the CCI and CCM lines of business. Handle EPREMS, RMS business, and audits voids to process incoming workflow. Work closely with Underwriting Associates to solve problems and concerns. Mentor and guide new employees.

• Evaluate and process new business applications. Evaluate $1,000,000 commercial auto insurance risks submissions for approval. Evaluate commercial fleet submissions for approval and placement based on company guidelines and available MVR, Clue and Loss Run reports. Handle endorsement changes on existing policies. Work closely with agents to evaluate new and current fleet risks for market placement. I developed and implemented a rating spreadsheet for commercial fleet risks.

• Tested Non-Standard Auto Insurance software for accuracy and company requirements. Involved regression testing, requirements testing and usability testing of product. Worked on comparative raters as well as company point of sale discs. Involved manual rating for numerous companies in various states. Followed up on research of rates for company’s agents. Assisted in the training of new employees.

• Responded to auto claims reports which included handling incoming claims calls, first party injuries, disputed liability claims, fire losses, securing recorded statements from policy holders, claimants, and witnesses.
