I am an aspiring 19 year old student, attending City College to achieve a BS Biology Degree. I have many passions, skills, and potential in Healthcare, Entrepreneurship, Interior Design, Technology, Sports, and Music. One of my core values is persistence; persistence through weather, mental, emotional and physical challenges/barriers, logistics, and social challenges. One of my greatest skills is to be able to sit with discomfort and view it through a lens of "How can I plan to make it better next time?", and not through one that criticizes myself. As a person, I look at my life through logistics and cause and effect. If something in my life goes wrong, I don't spend my time sulking, but I spend it figuring out why certain things happen and I sit with it. This kind of mindset helps me excel in work, while preventing the very thing that would tank my work performance. My only bottleneck at this point is finding a medium between my various passions and the results.
In this position, I am doing paid training for a CNA position. I attend an online class ever Monday and Wednesday, for Anatomy and Physiology, and attend a skills class every Tuesday. We have tutoring, check ins, quizzes and tests. I have a Basic Life Support Certification, and am on the path to achieving a CNA certification. After around two months of class, we will have clinicals in a select nursing home, and then will take the ProMetrics Exam in June.
Similar to Hungry Panda, I worked for Doordash as a delivery courier on an electric bike. I operated mainly in zones such as New Rochelle, Queens, the Bronx, Lower Manhattan, and Upper Manhattan. I picked up orders, often many at one time, persisting in most weather conditions. I navigated long commutes, and had to utilize organizational skills to fit all of the food inside my delivery bag, and time management skills to get to my destinations on time.
I joined this position October 2025, and worked as an Accounts Assistant. I was placed by a Verizon table, and was given my own account information to log onto the system, along with 3-4 of my other coworkers. My responsibilities included entering customer information to see if they qualified for Verizon Internet; and if they did, we would sign them up for it, setting an installation date, and verifying their billing information and contact/ personal details. After a day in the field, we would go back to the main office to debrief our findings, including things we learned on the field. In the morning, we would come to the office at around 8 AM to have a field meeting, discussing budget for today, as well as goals. We would go to Fordham, Harlem, Brooklyn, and the Bronx to stop people on the street and use communication tactics to sign them up for internet. These communication tactics including KISS versus KILL, and how long to engage with each customer.
