I am a second generation undergrad student seeking some skilled experience around my field, but also I am looking to travel the world and see a way of life that is so different from the one I live day to day. At a world-class university, diving into my interests I hope to gain the right experience and education
Led a group of 12 teens in the inner-city of Tijuana Mexico. We stayed here for a week, and constructed a 2 room house for those in need. I learned to take control of a team and keep them on track. I also learned critical skills for construction like leveling, measuring twice, using tools, and communicating with the house owner and the team. It was a very pleasant and useful experience to work with a team, but also to provide a house that will change the life of the family forever. This house needed precise measurements of the walls, roofing, doors, windows, and the base. Critical problem solving skills were needed, as well as attention to detail and the surroundings.
-Was incorporated directly in the lab team. I attended daily meetings where employees led presentations on their lab findings. I also planned and executed my own experiment. My findings were presented to the lab and actually provided them insight on where their research should be oriented.
