
Working Kenco, the hazmat department had a history of excessive returns due to the complexity of the process. I identified the root causes, worked on a manual with detailed instructions focused on avoiding errors. This action made a difference decreasing returns 99% making the company out of the risk of loosing the Hazmat certification, therefore, stop losing money on the process.
Responsible of the Hazmat Department:
Processing Customer Orders;
Picking orders (inventory management);
Packing orders
Processing shipping labels on UPS/Fedex system;
Putting orders together and setting up the shipping;
Giving pursuit until customer arrival.
Processing inventory by doing rework on items
In charge of 5 customer service representatives;
Processing & managing orders of national accounts;
Scheduling the whole backlog of customers orders by ranking, urgency, time requested, etc;
Managing the consignment inventory of 5 top customers in order to always have enough stock;
Making possible the monthly budget by monitoring daily & weekly sales, getting in touch with vendors and customers to full filling it, etc;
Sales reports and statistics;
Sales Manager duties when needed
Managing reports of monthly paper consumption;
Placing monthly purchase orders;
Searching new suppliers in order to improve profitability and better service;
Pursuit on purchase orders until arrival to facility;
Working with forwarders and customs brokers.
