- The responsibilities of a server at Hearthstone entailed, delivering meals to senior residents and guests on a designated schedule while also providing high quality customer service
- I would also serve meals in two different dining rooms again, in a timely manner and on schedule
- I was in charge of setting tables and fully bussing tables (taking dirty dishes to dishwasher, wiping down table and preparing table for more residents to dine at)
- I would also restock necessary supplies, fill water pitchers, and roll silverware
- I would take residents food and drink orders and process the orders on an iPad, occasionally I would take orders over the phone
- This caused a lot of communication to the kitchen making sure they didn't have any questions on orders I sent in or anything of that matter
- After taking the order I would bring out the drinks and soup, and then bring out the food when it was ready and any dessert that the residents asked for (cookies, cake, scooping ice cream)
- At the end of the shift the serving staff completes side duties such as, vacuuming the dining rooms, resetting tables, sweeping and mopping, restocking ice tea and coffee machines, breaking down the salad bar, cleaning soup warmers, taking out trash and recycling etc
