Affiliations

While attending SFSU, I was in Phi Sigma Sigma, A sorority that practices philanthropy and volunteers at a nearby elementary school. I gained such important networking skills and made so many new people. It really helped me come out of my shell and value myself. I also appreciated that there was philanthropy that fell into what I love to do, help children. I enjoyed fundraising knowing that I had passion about what I was doing.

Outstanding Afterschool Professional

I was awarded this during this past school year from my job at Club K(2025-2026) . I had recently taken on a notoriously difficult school site with children who were tired of being in an afterschool environment. It was also my first experience ever being the program leader/upper management. Although it was difficult I had really enjoyed getting to know the kids, making them feel excited to be there, and building my own management and leadership skills. Getting this award from my employer made me feel so valued and seen. My supervisor and various parents from the school had written comments that showed how they appreciated me, which meant so much.
