Summary

I am Ben Ashworth and I am currently a student at Texas University. I am graduating in May and very excited to start my career as a teacher. I feel as prepared as first year teacher can be because of the curriculum and hours I have already spent in the classroom. The TechTeach program put me into elementary classrooms every Wednesday my Junior year and 4 days a week from august to May in a classroom with a top veteran teacher. This allowed me to observe strategies and create and teach my own lessons in a safe environment that gave me immediate feedback and allowed me to become a better teacher and that is what makes me stand out as a first year teacher.
