Benjamin Kirkman

I've spent the last two summers serving at the Summit Church in Raleigh, going on summer long mission trips. The summer of 2023 I was a part of an eight week discipleship program where we were in Wake Forest, Nc for six weeks, Miami, Florida one week, and Mumbai India for two weeks. Over these eight weeks I took classes at Southeastern Southern Baptist Seminary, and learned many things about The Bible, sharing the Gospel, and how to live a life honoring The Lord. I also learned what it looked like to run a church and all the work that goes into it. I also improved my communication skills by spending days talking with strangers in India, and Miami about the Gospel. The summer of 2024, I spent in Miami, Florida serving at Reality Church Miami. I spent eight weeks there with six others sent from The Summit Church, and worked on building a office space/warehouse area in Reality Church's basement, and worked with many of the non-profits connected to Reality Church. Over these two summers I grew in my communication and relationship skills with others, learned how to lead a group of people to achieve certain objectives, and led kids in Sunday School classes. I've also mowed lawns and provided lawn care for family friends over the summer during highschool, and house sat/pet sat for family friends during the summers aswell.
