Accomplishments

  • Serve as the system lead for the Molecular Committee since 2019 and Chemistry Committee since 2022
  • Have steadily increased lab test volume year over year within oncology and throughout BMG.
  • Directed the renovation of a clinic lab into a large core lab to establish our BMG Central lab’s new location and expanded operation resulting over 3 million results annually and supports nearly 30 clinics.
  • Led the implementation of new chemistry machines across our system of more than 30 labs.
  • Utilized current LIS to a greater extent allowing for more efficiencies and fewer issues on the backend with billing and coding.
  • Started a prior authorization process for BCC and BMG lab orders that now require them.
  • Helped establish and maintain drive thru locations and client testing throughout the covid pandemic.
  • Successfully helped to start up a rheumatology and oncology clinic each with newly on boarded providers and new labs to be established.
  • Successfully helped with the buildout and set up of a new clinic for BCC Collierville as well as utilizing TI money to help create better workspace for the lab and checkout areas in another oncology clinic.
  • Received COLA’s accreditation award at BCC in Southaven for exceptional performance based on inspection and proficiency scores in 2017. Then again at BCC Bartlett in 2018.
  • Helped with a reported savings in medical supplies for oncology of over $200,000 for FY17.
  • Improved the four FCC labs taking them from 86 citations in 2011 to six citations in 2013.
  • Decreased waste and found savings of $100,000 plus in 2013.
  • Found lost revenue of more than $50,000 in collections from 2012 and put systems in place to minimize loss.
  • Implemented FCC’s first chemistry analyzer in 2013 allowing for better patient care and increased lab revenue. Have implemented several other analyzers since in order to increase quality of care to our patients as well as revenue for the clinics.
  • Helped to design and implement a new employee orientation process for FCC for on-boarding and training of new hires.
