  • Contracted to a law firm to provide server (physical and virtual) support in a midsize multi-site Windows 2008 TCP/IP Network. Configured Active Directory Users and Organizational Units including Group Policy Management, DNS, DCHP and WINS. Responsible for the maintenance and reliability of daily backups and restores using Commvault Simpana 8.0, 9.0 and Backup Exec 11d Configured and troubleshot multiple office exchange and file system data replication. Performed testing to ensure consistency of replicated data. Deployed Windows 2008 R2 servers (physical and virtual). Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a multi print server environment. Experience with troubleshooting HP, Dell, Lexmark and Zebra printers. Troubleshot Citrix connectivity issues. Responsible for upgrading and maintaining MonitorIT and Dell ITAssistant which are used to monitor server health and provide early warning of potential issues.   • Key Accomplishments
  • Upgraded and migrated mailboxes from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 when storage space became an issue.
  • Implemented an email filtering solution when spam became a burden on users. MailMarshal was installed and implemented to protect against spam, email viruses and SMTP attacks. To date no email viruses have penetrated the network.
  • In order to provide email to cellular devices I installed and implemented Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1. I also provide continued support for Blackberry.
  • In order to provided disaster recovery and ensure continued critical application availability I completed a project which replicates Exchange, Blackberry, ERP database and applications as well as file shares to an off site location. This project was completed using Xosoft Wansynch
  • Implemented a wireless access solution so that laptop users could access network resources throughout building facilities.

  • Configured Norton Anti-virus Corporate Edition Live Update to update servers and clients with updated virus definitions after it was discovered that these updates were not properly being delivered. I also cleaned workstations that had become infected with a virus that led to this discovery.
