As Process Attendant at Buzzi Unicem I am in charge of pretty much what ever it takes to keep the plant running . There’s a process in making cement and if in anyway that process stops I do my best to get it back running as quick and safe as possible. This may involve but not limited to running heavy equipment, using tools of all sorts including the ole shovel , hauling raw materials from stock piles to the plant to be turned in to cement , measuring silos so that we can keep track of how much material is inside them , shooting high powered water gun to keep inside of tower cleaned and so on and so forth. As a process Attendant to me you are one of the most valuable employees at the plant and I take pride in doing the best at it that I can .

At Marion Farmers Coop I started out as just a dock hand but as time went on they appreciated the skills and work ethic I possessed. After a short time I become the warehouse manager and a year or so later I was named the assistant manager. As the assistant manager my job was to keep all the feed, seed, fertilizers and hardware ordered . I was also in charge of keeping a small crew of people hired and working. My daily routine changed from day to day because I was in charge of fixing and keeping all conveyors belts and fertilizer equipment working which consisted of daily maintenance on the all the equipment including the skid steers tractors forklifts and what ever other equipment we had all while still making sure my employees where doing a good job them selves .If it got done around there I most likely was either in charge of getting it done or doing it myself . The actual manager there was basically in charge of costumer service, relations with costumers and associates. He was also in charge of ordering stock in the showroom and most of the paperwork but other than that I kept the rest of the operation going . I was there for 10 years before I started a career at Buzzi Unicem where I have been for just over 9 years and am still currently working.
