• Oversees and monitor the implementation of Office of School Health (OSH) programs, policies and special projects, reporting findings to the Deputy Director of Nursing.
• Assists the Director of Nursing and the Deputy Director of Nursing in the development of and administration of staff education. Participates in developing and implementing program policies and procedures for effective delivery of school health services and OSH initiatives.
• Reviews OSH Staff Management System to check implementation and quality improvement program
• Coordinates delivery of OSH services with an interdisciplinary team including the Supervising MD, Vision Team, Operations Unit, School Health HR unit, IT Department, and CO Administration.
• Collaborates with the Supervising Physician and Communicable Disease Nursing Unit.
• Meets regularly with senior staff members, the Nursing Director and the Deputy Nursing Director, Bronx Supervisory Team
• Supervises and evaluates clinical performance Office of School Health in Region 2
• Prepares and advises supervisory staff on disciplinary procedures and attends Office of Labor Relations (OLR) hearing.
• Maintains an ongoing professional relationship and collaborates with the school administrators such as principals, school support networks, parent coordinators, school staff, parents and community providers/leaders to ensure safe and appropriate delivery pf health services.
• Collaborates with Staff Development Team regarding staff development trainings.
• Collaborates with central operation unit for needs of the region.
• Oversees the interview and hiring process for the nurse applicants, advisor applicants and assistant applicants.
• Supervises Contract Nursing Liaisons.Oversees contract nurse placement and agency nurse tracking entries according to OSH guidelines.
• Conducts site visits to uphold the standards of the medical rooms in accordance with OSH Guidelines.
• Monitors Automated School Health Records (ASHR) reports to ensure that performance indicators are met.
• Cultivated a positive work environment that fostered employee engagement, increased retention rates, and boosted overall team morale.
