Excellence in Service Award

On January 23, 2025, my unit responded to a mid-50s female with chest pain. During transport, I applied a 12-lead EKG and, with my partner’s interpretation, identified a STEMI. We initiated rapid transport to MyMichigan Medical Center Midland, a 30+ minute drive, where the patient was taken directly to the Cath Lab. Total call-to-treatment time was just over 100 minutes which is exceptional. A few months later at the direction of our board of directors I was awarded a excellence in service award due to my contributions to the call and the positive outcome for the patient.
