Responsible for running the overnight shift. These responsibilities included mapping out a game plan for the evening, making sure all supplies needed are accounted for and ready to use for my team. My job also included overseeing nightly production, managing break schedules for my team, lending a hand if a team member needed it. Once a week I would be responsible for inventory in the plant along with everything in the warehouse across the street. Occasionally I would have to make manager decisions depending on the situations that would arise throughout the night. Having to improvise and think on the fly. A shift team would consist of 18-20 members with 9 fillers running at a time. I would have to manage and oversee all members and file hourly reports along with a shift report at the end of the night. I would also be in charge of training new employees ensuring they understand their job and help them work to the best of their abilities.Prior to the lead position I worked in every other part of the plant. Operator/packaging. These duties would included managing fillers, learning to take parts apart and rebuilding valves and daily maintenance. Then moved to receiving where I was responsible for CIPs, managing inventory of product being received and balancing out time based off my blenders and the supplies they needed. Eventually moved to blending where I learned to make the product. These duties also included CIPs, time management. A very fast paced environment with little to no down time in between.
