Bonnie Matteson

I have many responsibilities as a heard health manager on the farm. On any given day I am temping the cows, vaccinating the cows, sorting groups of cows, and helping birth calves. My chief concern on the farm is to help maintain health of the dairy herd and ensuring that the milk production quotas are met. Cleaning and charting any changes is also a big portion of my job.

While working at St. Joseph's Hospital, I worked closely with the nurses and doctors assisting the patients. I also worked in the OB department helping with the newborn babies and caring for the new mom's. I also worked in the nursing home when St. Joseph's had a residents wing. I thoroughly enjoyed the patients and took great pride in their care and keeping their rooms clean.
