- Oversee the daily maintenance, inspection, and repair recommendations for more than 1,100 miles of sanitary and storm pipe.
- Successfully execute the Kansas City, Kansas Environmental Services CMOM program by reducing Sanitary Sewer Overflows and proactively assess the need for modifications to CCTV and cleaning schedules.
- Achieve the annual objectives established in our IOCP by performing pre-CSO elimination inspections, decreasing CSO/SSO bypasses, and assist with various underground infrastructure projects as mandated by our consent decree.
- Provide highly detailed and accurate reports to the Collection System Manager and Director as needed regarding various projects, inspections, and customer concerns.
- Responsible for supervising field crews.
- Conduct annual goal setting and performance evaluations for field personnel to align with personnel professional development goals and UG Public Works Strategic plan.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and dismiss field personnel.
- Maintain positive interdepartmental relationships with our Construction and Operations Divisions.
- Participate in and conduct community outreach events such as, career fairs, informational sessions, Touch-A-Trucks, and open houses.
- Provide support across different Unified Government departments as needed.
