In December 2022, Gannett sold The Hawk Eye to Community Media Group/Mississippi Valley Publishing. Still covering public safety, education, and general assignments in Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa, and the surrounding counties. In November 2023, began covering Fort Madison City Hall/government, Lee County, Iowa government, and local businesses for the Fort Madison Daily Democrat (also owned by Community Media Group/Mississippi Valley Publishing) and sister papers.

Covering the public safety and education beats for The Hawk Eye, “Iowa’s Oldest Newspaper,” in Burlington, Iowa and the Des Moines County, Iowa areas (and occasionally public safety and education news from surrounding counties). Also frequently covered general assignments (typically business, government/politics, events, entertainment, local culture, and human-interest features). Also had numerous stories published in the Des Moines Register, Iowa City Press-Citizen, Ames Tribune, and other newspapers within the USA TODAY Network. This was when the paper was owned by Gannett. We received editorial guidance from the Des Moines Register's editors and occasionally collaborated with other reporters and editors with the Des Moines Register, Iowa City Press-Citizen, and Ames Tribune on stories of state-wide interest.

Responsible for researching, reporting, writing, editing and posting stories, information and content to station website and social media accounts for the ABC affiliate in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Position was a mix of Digital Producer/Reporter, Photojournalist and Video Editor for the CBS2 (KGAN) and FOX 28 (KFXA) affiliates in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Responsibilities include covering breaking news, general assignments, web extras/special content and scheduling and posting content to social media.

Edited video for newscasts and worked with producers, reporters, anchors and other staff to cover general assignment and breaking news as a photog for the CBS (WHBF) and FOX (KLJB) affiliates in the Quad Cities.

Temporary, full-time position with the CBS affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa. Position was a mix of master control operations and production assistant duties.

Reporter and advice columnist for The Chieftain, Black Hawk College's student newspaper.

Company was a television news and broadcasting hub. Was responsible for on-air content and live transmissions for over 20 television stations across the country.

Worked in the Engineering department for the FOX (KLJB-FOX 18), CW (KGCW-Quad Cities CW) and This TV affiliate in the Quad Cities. Recorded, downloaded, edited and monitored television broadcast content and worked with engineering, traffic, promotional, advertising, programming and management staff to ensure smooth and continuous television broadcasts.

Publication is an alternative weekly newspaper in the Quad Cities. Began working as an Editorial Intern from September-December 2006. Contributing/Freelance Writer during the Spring-Summer of 2007 and sporadically until October 2008.

Volunteer D.J. at 88.5 FM/105.5 FM KALA (St. Ambrose University Radio). Hosted my own weekly show ("Midnight Madness") and was in charge of broadcasting all on-air content, planning shows, selecting playlists and engaging audiences.
