  • Maintained inventory levels of parts and accessories in stockroom.
  • It's not only me working behind the parts counter; I'm really a runner around there. With a background like mine of being raised on the farm, I know how to run all of the equipment they have. I even load broken-up pallets to have them hauled off. They really just use me for anything and everything, and I love what I do because I love being put to work and love working hard to see the end result.

  • I have done a little bit of everything at the feed store, whether it was working behind the counter checking people out, or hauling feed out for customers so they did not have to.
  • We also had priorities that we had to address, and that was to satisfy the customers. That took a lot of work because you never knew if they knew anything about the feed they were getting. You had to tell them all the kinds that were good for the animal and inform them which one they needed to get, so the customer was happy all of the time.
  • Also, one of the main things that you get to mess with is plumbing, and one of the hardest things to learn. You never knew what the customer was going to bring in, and you just had to be ready for it so you could always satisfy them.

  • First, we had a hog farm. I was the run-around boy, just helping with what I could do and knew how to do.
  • Second, we had cattle on top of the hog farm, and if you know anything about cattle, there is a lot of work that goes into having a farm. I was building a fence, hauling hay, running tractors, and just doing whatever I could to help my family run our farm.
