Applied educational background into the field as a fly fishing guide, in search of knowledge on industry standards, insurance policies, and crisis management training in outdoor medical emergencies.
Gained experience in group management and hospitality, along with performing highly technical backcountry marine infrastructure work. Responsibilities included: Safely transporting groups of 25 people/15k+ lbs of gear over a mountain to assist travelers in search of the magic of the North Cascades back-country. Renting, cleaning, repairing, and operating motorboats of up to 250hp/23'. Learned to thrive in tight knit crew environments, and strengthened conflict management skills. Educated visitors on the local fish, ecology, geology, and safety hazards of the North Cascades.
Taught basic vocabulary, grammer, and culture, and played games with 8 year old Czech students through an AIFS study abroad experience. Additionally, I studied the oppressive systems of central Europe, searching for authentic accounts and untold history of fascism and oppression from WWI to the Cold War.
