• During the duration of this job, I worked odd hours consisting of overnight shifts from 10pm to 7am, of which I would attend morning classes afterwards
• Evening shifts from 2pm to 11pm after school and morning shifts 5am to 3pm on weekends
• These long hours taught me to be conscious of my sleep schedule and to prioritize work
• During this job I had to run the store alone as the manager and keep up on store duties, check in with employees that were under me and regulate customer issues
• I was young to command those older than me as I was only 18 and had to direct people years older and younger than myself
• Time management is one of the best skills I got while working at QuikTrip as it almost seems impossible to finish all tasks without giving it your all.

This Job was a way to earn some extra money while over the summer and was tough. I worked 8-10 our days, usually beginning around 4 am and working till around 1. The roofs were often above 100 degrees so resilience and working efficiently were some keys to success that I have kept with me. I loved working with my hands and learning a new skill/ trade so this was a great experience.

• Assisted in removal of old roofing materials and debris to prepare for application of new roofing.
• Performed patching and resealing of roofs to provide maintenance, repairs and protection.
• Installed, repaired, and replaced single-ply roofing systems.
• Precisely cut felt, shingles and strips of flashing to fit angles formed by walls, vents, and intersecting roof surfaces.
• Expanded knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and cost effectiveness.
