My Job As an Asbestos Air Monitoring technician is to determine airborne fiber concentrations for only personnel samples on Asbestos abatement projects (required by OSHA ) And to run High volume Air samples on NESHAP jobs that are outside and determine airborne Fiber Concentrations ( national emission standard for hazardous air pollutants ) and to post results of air monitoring within 24 to 48 hours of taking samples.
As a licensed asbestos Air Monitoring Technician Project monitor my job is to supervise commercial asbestos Projects not to be confused with an asbestos supervisor I need to perform air monitoring. ( determining the concentration of airborne asbestos fibers ) And to ensure the job is done to the specifications of the asbestos consultant ( method and materials used to complete the project) and to run personal air samples samples that are used the to determine the the amount of airborne asbestos that workers are being exposed to inside the containment/ work area.
