Direct day-to-day administrative and operational functions for a 550-bed Urban Acute Care facility.

• Provided guidance, leadership, and oversight for the organization on a day-to-day basis.
• Maintained proper staff levels within budget parameters to deliver high levels of care to every patient.
• Assessed patient care requirements on each unit by making rounds across all patient care areas of the hospital.

General care of MICU/SICU and COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit.

Designed, implemented, and managed the Organization's "Access Point Screening Department" to combat screening needs and security in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Worked with infection control department to implement screening guidelines, consistent with CDC and DOH recommendations.
• Designed a staffing plan to support the screening at all access points for the Crouse Health System, including the hospital, three physician office buildings, two outpatient surgery centers, education center/College of Nursing, as well as two external outpatient treatment facilities.
• Facilitated the education and onboarding of all access point screening employees.
• Established a staffing plan for the newly established department, finalized approval through the finance department, and assisted in the hiring of new employees to staff the department.
• Managed the department, including staffing of all points, coordination with offsite leadership, as well as establishment and maintenance of central supply support.
• Direct management of 45 FTEs.
• Reported to COO and CNO.

-Designed and enhanced the RN Nursing Orientation Program for the new Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSU) at Crouse Hospital. 

- Created a focused program that incorporated the aspects of critical care with a focus on the neurosciences.

-Post-involvement, orientees moving through the program have been exceeding expectation, and growing to become valuable and effective members of the interdisciplanary team and NSU.

-Travel RN in a Level 1 trauma center serving the high-need communities of Compton, Lynwood, and Southgate; districts of Los Angeles, CA.

-500 bed Urban Private Hospital, with Comprehensive Stroke and Level 1 Trauma certification

-Cared for Trauma, CVICU, Neuro ICU, MICU, and SICU patients.

24-bed General Adult ICU in a 550 bed urban teaching facility.

Management of critical neurological, neurosurgical, neuromuscular, general surgical, and medical patients.

• Primary shift leader for the ICU
• Created staff-patient assignments during shift.
• Collaboration with medical staff, case management, and ancillary staff to coordinate successful patient outcomes.
• Coordination between clinical support staff and bedside nursing for corporate initiatives and implementation of evidence-based practice recommendations.
• Direction and leadership of code situations according to ACLS Guidelines in the absence of physician staff.
