As an environmental service aide my duties are to perform general/aseptic cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms in an orderly and timely manner. As an EVS employee I am also responsible for other areas of cleaning such as Surgical services, Emergency department, outpatient, and radiology. Each designated area requires me to utilize a different procedure which is essential and calls for me to adapt accordingly to each assigned area.
