  • Hired as a 'Part Picker', focused on receiving hundreds of orders within the day from commercial and local customers.
  • Once orders got received, my team and I would sort them relative to how soon the orders needed to be shipped and how many parts were needed.
  • Once each order was sorted my team and I would clear through a multiple story warehouse and assist in collecting all parts ordered for that day, then prepare them for their packaging and shipping phase.
  • This included informing those whose orders did not have any discrepancies and if so informing them of the proper and most accommodating situations we could provide to them for their desired product.
  • After these discrepancies were filed if any existed the parts would be tagged and marked then passed along to the shipping crew informing them of the destinations and dates that have been requested for delivery.
  • My employment led throughout my time finishing High School while being in the Delayed Entry Program before joining the USN and still completing 40+ hour weeks for roughly 7 months prior to being sent off for basic training.
  • Traits & Responsibilities: collaborated with team members to streamline inventory management processes boosting mutual time management between the team members, monitored stock levels of parts and supplies, facilitating timely replenishment for operations and improving overall team productivity, providing exceptional support to colleagues by sharing knowledge, offering assistance, and creating a welcoming work space to newcomers, overall working to ensure smooth operations during peak periods via effective time management techniques such as delegation and task prioritization.
