In Summary, I do not possess a Master's Degree or J.D. I am not a Social Worker, Psychologist or a Family Counselor by Definition. I do have the passion and desire to work with families and assist them with making decisions that are in the best interest of their children. I believe my knowledge and experience in Early Childhood Education helps build trust with the families I serve. I am patient and make intentional efforts to recognize and acknowledge the strengths and efforts made by each family I work with. In addition to all of the above, my goal is to provide the best possible service I can to the families I serve.

Family Court Specialist

  • First hired: Primary role was Establishment of Cases (DS, DP) and Child Support Rev/Mods. There was a short period of time where the position entailed Preliminary Hearings in NA cases to authorize Petitions and Serve parties. The position for a short period of time entailed DeNovo Hearings in efforts to resolve objections.
  • The position later assigned the task of Abatements/Reviews for Child out of Custodial Home and Incarceration requests to abate Child Support and/or Review due to release from incarceration.
  • The position, specifically for me, changed to my Primary role, which remains my current role, being the person for our Friend of the Court to conduct FIG Conferences, post judgment, when Motions are filed regarding Parenting Time and processing all Requests for Parenting Time Assistance. I also conduct Child Support Reviews when Motions to Review Child Support are filed along with, before and/or after Motions re: Parenting Time, if significant changes are made to the Parenting Time Order and/or if referred from MCR Orders after Custody Reviews.

  • Hired in to a Grant Funded Maternal Infant Health Program where I educated and assisted Pregnant women who were at high risk including assisting with transportation to and from pre-natal appointments, clothing pantry, food pantries and home visits. (6 months later this assignment was successfully completed)
  • After the Maternal Infant Health Program assignment was completed I was assigned to the Grant Funded Community Health Worker program. Tasks included educating and assisting elderly clients with their prescribed medications, getting them to and from doctor appointments, food pantries, clothing pantry, providing Emotional support and connecting them to community resources. (6 month assignment)
  • After the Community Health Worker Program assignment was completed I was assigned to the WIC Program. Tasks included assisting families with WIC benefits, developmental education, healthy nutrition and growth assessments. (Worked this position for 6 months then accepted new position at FOC as a Family Court Specialist)

  • While owning/operating my Child Care Center, I served on the local Chamber of Commerce, Planning Commission, attended School Board Meetings and Sponsored several community events annually.
