
Currently seeking a classroom teacher position after 11 years working with infants and toddlers with disabilities. I have proven relationships with parents in this community and am excited for a change into a classroom. My background is in elementary education and where my passion is. I am certified in K-8 self contained and 6-8 English.
I provided service coordination, evaluation, support, and early intervention services for families with children ages birth to three who are eligible for Early On® in the 5 school districts in Lapeer County. I serve as the primary point of contact for families; coordinating assessments, developing and monitoring Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs), link families to community resources, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements while delivering family-centered services in natural environments.
Other major responsibilities:
*Coordinate special ed evaluations and plan and run playgroups
*Build and maintain relationships with parents while following a coaching model
*Coordinate formally and informally with community agencies, daycares, and local school districts
*Transition students out of Early On into their next appropriate placement
