Orthopedic unit: January 2025- March 2025

During my capstone clinical I got a lot of experience passing medications, taking out surgical drains, doing assessments, and checking vitals.

Veteran Affairs: March 2025- May 2025

During this clinical I got to float to different units while I was here. I followed the home health nurse and got to visit Veterans in their homes. I got to spend some time in the ER, Pre-op, PACU, and the Med-Surg unit. While in Med-Surg I was able to place an IV on my patient for the first time.

NICU: August 2024- December 2024

During this clinical, I watched the nurses work with the babies, and asked lots of questions. I got to observe a doctor intubating a 28week old.

Labor and Delivery: March 2024-April 2024

I spent a short 5 weeks on this unit, but got to experience 2 deliveries. One was vaginal and the other was a c-section. I felt very empowered watching these mother's deliver, and hope I can use my skills to be apart of labor and delivery in my professional career.

• Played games, worked on puzzles, and read books to young children.

• Organized and cleaned home after activities by picking up toys and straightening up play room.
• Maintained a clean and organized environment to ensure the well-being of children under care.
