-Communicate with off-going shift to assure continuity of care.

-Supervise the care provided by certified nursing assistants

-Administer medications and treatments according to MAR/EMAR

-Obtain vital signs, administering enemas/suppositories , performing catheterizations. Performed blood glucose and administer insulin per sliding scale.

-Consult with RN/physicians-receives, records and transcribes orders

-Perform weekly skin assessments

-Document appropriate related to medical diagnoses

-Communicate with family members

-Report on each individual patients status and behaviors

-Administer PO medications per MAR via medication dispense machine

-Administer depot monthly injections such as Invega Sustenna , Abilify Maintena, and Aristada etc.,

-Assess patients moods/behaviors and document appropriately

-Consult with charge nurse and MD regarding patients medications

-Assist/communicate with treatment team

-Communicate with family members

-Medication and coping skills groups
