I currently work as a Multi-modality technologist in Nuclear Medicine/PET and CT on a PRN basis covering day, night and weekend shifts. I currently cover about 25 hours a week.

• Sole technologist in department overnights
• Responsible for handling all aspects of stroke and trauma related protocols
• Responsible for all aspects of care including transporting, scanning, intravenous access, and all paperwork and documentation relating to the exam
• Proficient in multi-tasking and time management which is needed to run department as sole technologist

• Perform full schedule of both PET/CT and standalone CT procedures
• Non-routine procedures including CT treatment planning for radiation therapy as well as research PET brain studies
• Manage PRN staff members
• Organize procedural paperwork for federal guidelines and state licensure
• Prepare and organize NOPR (National Oncologic PET Registry) paperwork
• Work with both radiologists and attending oncologists to gather accurate information for data collection regarding NOPR

CLINICAL SKILLS OBTAINED

• Perform 12 lead EKGs
• Venipuncture
• QC on various gamma cameras including SPECT/CT, survey meters, PET/CT, well counter/uptake probes, and dose calibrators
• Proficiency in generator elution, radiopharmaceutical preperation, and dose preperation
• Proficiency in over 30 nuclear medicine scans
• Proficiency in computed tomography including 125 exam requirement for state license
• Experience preparing treatment doses including Yitrium-90 radiolabeled microspheres for therapy
