Provided medical support for army units during field operations. operated from a mobile army surgical hospital and battalion medical aid station. Primarily tasked with providing routine medical care and ambulance coverage supporting various units during field operations during my first 4 years of enlistment.

My final 2 years of service I volunteered to be retrained and reclassified from the medical corps to combat arms. I also volunteered for airborne duty and service with the 82nd Airborne Division. I rose to the position of fire team leader responsible for directing paramilitary operations of a 6 man team as part of a direct ready force in the ranks of the rapid deployment units of the 1st combat brigade of the 504th parachute infantry regiment. It was our units mission to be able to respond anywhere in the world within 18 hours or less of an executive order. It was during this tour of duty that I sustained injuries during airborne operations that subsequently resulted in my decision to leave military service and brings me into the vocational rehabilitation program of the veterans administration and now to your office.
