I am a recent high school graduate hoping to become a firefighter. I am currently pursuing an EMT class which will allow me to gain the skills necessary to become an excellent candidate for this position. I played Varsity Baseball for four years in high school. I believe baseball gave me the skills necessary to be the best fit for a firefighter position. I learned to work as a team, handle high stress situations, think quickly under pressure, perform in extreme weather and be the very best that I could be.
