In the past 18 years with the Sugar Grove Police Department, I have developed numerous professional relationships within the department, outside agencies and the community. I am currently a school resource officer, detective, patrol officer, evidence technician, property/evidence room custodian, OC spray instructor, field training officer, truck enforcement officer and a member of the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force as a detective. I have been responsible for revamping the property room, setting new standards for the detective division and establishing policies and procedures for evidence collection and lab requests. I hold numerous certificates.
In 2013, while off duty, I saved a man from drowning while on vacation in which I was awarded the Carnegie Hero Fund Award and received a life saving award from the Sugar Grove Police Department for this action.
