AVM 4204: AutoCAD for Airport Environments

• Using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2022 to develop proficiency in the application of skills used in Airport Design and Planning.

AVS 4999: Aviation Systems Safety

• An overlook over various courses to ensure that students have an understanding of course materials from the past four years studying at Florida Institute of Technology.

AVM 4201: Aviation Advanced Computer Applications

• Using Computer Applications like MapWindow (a geographic information system), INM (Integrated noise model), and REDIM (Runway Exit Design Interactive Model) to design airports and verify noise exposure.
• Orlando/Melbourne International Project: in this project we created, analyzed, and formatted a scenario where Amazon begins services at KMLB and we looked at affected communities and how the airport can prevent noise exposure in residential areas to comply with FAA advisory circulars on noise.

AVM 3202: Airport Design

• Utilize and learn the various processes that go into designing an airport. Design an airport to meet all of the most stringent factors of the critical aircraft to have an efficient and safe airport.

AVM 3201: Aviation Planning

• Analyze the airport master planning process, aviation forecasting, environmental conditions and requirements, and studying/ creating aviation data sources.
• Lakeland Linder International Airport Master Plan: where an in depth master plan is built and designed by the students for Lakeland Linder International Airport.

AVM 3303: Transportation Logistics

• Analyze the factors of transportation logistics and how to use each factor to properly move people and products in a safe, legal, and efficient manner from the place of origin to it's destination.
