Collectively between Data Center and temporary projects jobs I have 14 years of experience within the I.T. field. Also, I have a total of 8 years within the retail and customer service field. Combining my knowledge within the respective fields listed above, my willingness to learn more and drive. I’m ready to tackle whatever the future may hold for me with tenacity and perseverance.
Worked on building out a new addition to the data center . This involved the following steps: Getting the racks installed , tied down and leveled ; running the copper cabling as well as fiber from the core racks to the AGG racks; installing PDUs into the racks and lastly labeling the individual racks.
Unboxing servers , sledding , and installing the rails into the racks to be able to rack the servers. After servers are racked cable accordingly to the TOR switch.
Drives swaps; RAM swaps, full chassis swaps; motherboard swaps ; swapping out bad fiber/ copper cabling. As well as swapping out TOR switches .
Another task was assessing a down port in a switch. The steps taken where re-seat the fiber, clean the fiber , swap out the fiber and if still no luck then swapping out the QSFP.
Worked on deploying computers to Widener University . This included the Delaware Law campus and the Chester , Pa main campus. This involved working with a group of technicians to get the new PCs into the professors/admins offices. Once all new equipment was set up the professors data would be transferred and new PC ready to go for them. Lastly, I made sure that everything was neatly set up looking better than before and removed the old equipment from their office.
I also helped work on the Kutztown University PC deployment. This was basically the same scenario as Widener, expect the whole project took place in Kutztown, Pa, where the university is. On this project myself and the team deployed the new computers into the professors/admins offices. Once new computer was in place with data transferred over. Their new PC was ready to be used and old equipment removed.
Cartech PC deployment. This PC deployment was a bit different . This was handled by the DSS techs that were already on site at Cartech and I was one of them. We would get the PC set up and everything transferred over ahead of time, so when we got to the physically desk it was just a matter of swapping out the PC. I worked in a separate building for a little bit while on site getting a bunch of the computers imaged ahead of time.
