The last 21 years of my career; which began in 1978; I was appointed as the principal of Davenport Elementary School, a kindergarten-5th grade, low performing school. In three years, I lead the transformation of that school to one of the highest performing statewide kindergarten-5th grade arts school. Then within the next three years middle school was added.
