- Receive, inspect, store, and issue parts and accessories from stockroom or warehouse to fill shelves, racks, or customer orders
- Maintain accurate records of parts in stock, on order, and replaced; place and follow up on purchase orders with suppliers
- Assist customers in identifying the correct parts, provide product information, and recommending related repair items
- Document all parts transactions, reconcile inventory counts, and investigate discrepancies
- Process customer orders, compare delivered parts with invoices, and return incorrect or damaged items to suppliers
- Keep the parts storage area clean, organized, and accessible for efficient retrieval
- Work with the service department to anticipate future parts needs based on scheduled maintenance and repair work
- Perform data entry, filing, and other paperwork as needed
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems
- Familiarity with computerized inventory systems is an advantage
- Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and technicians
- Physical ability to lift and handle parts and equipment
