I bring extensive experience leading professional and volunteer crews through a number of safety and quality critical scenarios across the United States and internationally. Intimate gatherings to global events across all genres of live entertainment and events, I've touched it all. Specializing in human flight for the stage, including manual and automated systems, training and operations procedures authoring with over 15 years experience and 100 plus productions in the Western Hemisphere. Rigger with knowledge of theatrical, arena and nautical rigging systems.

An experienced trainer with adaptable skills in delivering information, adapting pedagogy based on the needs of the learner, and building real skill and knowledge through the training process.

Stage Technician

  • Previous Trainer for onboarding and safety training of new team members department wide, specializing in Rigging Safety training and including but not limited to: Hearing Conservation Trainer, Confined Space Entry/Attendant/Supervisor Trainer, Safe Work Practices Trainer, Ladder Safety Trainer.
  • Operational trainer for a half dozen show, comprising multiple positions within Tech Services at the Disneyland Resort.
  • Highlights include: at one point was the longest serving rigger and flight operator on nightly fireworks spectaculars, leading small teams in training, inspections and operations of one of the most well known flying effects in the world. Assuring support and 100% safety for all at-height work on a variety of fireworks productions.
  • Successfully lead and served as General Lead for all day-of- show watercraft safety, staffing and operational challenges for the Technical Services department at the Disneyland Resort as part of "Fantasmic!" overseeing a rotating crew of 5, and a cast of 20, including stunt performers. Responsibilities including but not limited to set up, strike, inspections, stunt safety and rigging, work at height rescue, and policy/documentation authoring. Frequently was leveraged as a Subject Matter Expert on varying aspects of the show across multiple departments.
  • Operated and maintained stage equipment for live performances, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Collaborated with production teams to set up and dismantle stage, stunt, and rigging equipment efficiently.
  • Assisted in troubleshooting technical issues during rehearsals and performances to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams including actors, designers, producers, directors, and other stakeholders to ensure a successful production.
  • Assisted in the successful execution of events by collaborating with performers on their specific requirements and needs.
  • Supported creative vision of directors by recommending appropriate staging solutions based on budget constraints and available resources.
  • Troubleshot technical issues promptly during live shows, minimizing disruption to audience enjoyment.
