Focus on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and facilitating a cost effective, quality outcome.

High-rise trim carpenter specializing in residential and commercial trim carpentry. Overseeing the installation of kitchens and architectural millwork was the primary focus.

Owner of Vogt & Company, a residential general contracting company specializing in the design, permitting and construction of unique home-renovations in the Downtown Boston area. Project management, vendor relations, schedule and budget were the primary focus.

Adjunct professor teaching traditional building techniques to graduate students. Timber framing, historic paint analysis, plastering and millwork identification are some of the topics covered.

Developed and implemented collaborative effort between Madison Park Vocational Technical High School and North Bennet Street School to teach carpentry to high school students from MPVTHS who show particular promise in the vocational trades. Students must be recommended by a teacher and apply to the program. This 6 week program teaches the fundamentals of carpentry.

In charge of a full time, accredited diploma carpentry program. Responsibilities include creating a curriculum and implementing it with 26 full time students. During my time the Carpentry Department doubled in size. Taking the program through expansion, hiring of teachers, budgeting, purchasing and overall program management.

• Curriculum includes floor, wall, stair and roof framing, interior and exterior trim, cabinet making, timber framing furniture making, plan reading and basic code.
