Clinical rotations as follows:
An outpatient addiction medicine clinic, I had the opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to the diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders (SUDs), with a particular emphasis on opioid and alcohol use disorders. Under the supervision of experienced addiction medicine specialists, I actively participated in patient care, including initial assessments, follow-up visits, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) management.
During my clinical rotation at this adult psychiatric outpatient clinic, I gained valuable experience in the evaluation, diagnosis, and longitudinal management of a wide range of psychiatric disorders in adults. This setting emphasized continuity of care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered treatment planning. I had the opportunity to work closely with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and case managers to provide comprehensive mental health services.
Gained comprehensive exposure to the management of opioid use disorder (OUD) in a highly structured outpatient setting. This experience deepened my understanding of opioid pharmacotherapy, long-term recovery strategies, and the unique challenges faced by individuals with chronic addiction. The program served a diverse adult population, many of whom had co-occurring psychiatric, medical, and social complexities.
